I love all cars, but my soft spot is for the old-school machines from Japan. While I grew up around Alfa Romeos, Fiats, Lotus Cortinas and other Europeans, I yearned for Datsun 510s, AE86 Corollas, and TRD Starlets. Those cars always looked the best at track days and SCCA autocrosses.
Many nights spent roaming the mountains drifting our AE86s blossomed into an appreciation of Japanese car culture in its fuller sense.
