Peanut Corolla on the low-buck vintage rally scene
In the Norcal lo-buck vintage rally scene, Elizabeth Pfau is a regular with her “Supernatural Powers” Peanut Corolla. Fitted with coilovers and period Cromodora five-spoke wheels, the Toyota is as at home crossing the Sierras as it is zipping along the rugged California coastline. Pfau typically does 3-4 vintage events a year, and prefers to drive the car rather than show it. In the near future she’s planning a motor swap that will give the little Corolla a little more oomph over the hills.
Keeping busy is never a problem for Pfau, She’s the moderator of an online vintage rally forum Vintagerallycartel.com, and the chief perpertrator of a female vintage car / driving club – The Atomic Petrolettes. not to mention a seriously talented painter of automotive and non-automotive themed art which can be viewed at her Atlasphere website.
Hopefully we’ll see E at Motoring J Style in May!

Rumor has it Elizabeth was trying to sell this car awhile back. Not sure if she still is, but if anyone is interested, contact us at info@motoringjstyle.com and we can put you in touch.
I've driven this car, and apart from some very soft, bouncing all over the place front suspension, it's a great little car and a reliable & cute entry for events like the California Melee. Good for drag racing Fiat 850s and similar cars...
Grape Vine reports that Pfau aint selling. Heard that there is a 3TC (yep'm its a HEMI) awaiting transplant, with side draft webbers. Add a dash of fix for that pogo front end and that peanut's buttah!!
The rumor mill can stop churning...the fresh 1.8ltr Hemi motor is in, and it carries a full compliment of top-shelf go-fast goodies. Dual Weber DCOE sidedrafts, a 4-2-1 Thorely ceramic header, racing electronic ignition system, hydraulic racing clutch, lightened flywheel....and yes, a 5sp overdrive tranny. Fun stuff in the making!
